Eastern Austria, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary Westautobahn Vienna - Salzburg (A 1), exit Wals-Lofer, border crossing ..., continue via Bad Reichenhall to Steinpass border crossing, Lofer, on towards Zell am See, Maishofen, Viehhofen. or Westautobahn Vienna - Salzburg (A 1) to Knoten Salzburg interchange, then via the Tauernautobahn (A 10) towards Villach, Knoten Bischofshofen interchange, on the Pinzgauer Bundesstrasse (B 311) in the direction of Zell am See, Maishofen, Viehhofen.
Germany Autobahn Munich - Salzburg (A8) as far as the Siegsdorf exit. From there, continue in the direction of Inzell as far as the Lofer turn-off. You will cross the border at the Steinpass. From Lofer, drive via Saalfelden towards Zell am See. In Maishofen, you will come to the turn-off for Glemmtal Valley, at which point you are only 6 km from Viehhofen. (toll-free!)
Train and Plane
The nearest railway station is in Zell am See. For train timetables and additional information, please contact Austrian Railways. Once in Zell am See, take the post bus, which departs once an hour, to Viehhofen. There is also a taxi stand right outside the station in Zell am See.
